Disability Rights Vermont (DRVT) is governed by a Board of Directors selected pursuant to federal law to reflect a cross-section of disability communities and interests within Vermont. The Board plays a critical role in guiding our mission, including:
- Providing strategic and administrative oversight
- Setting organizational priorities
- Hiring and evaluating the Executive Director
- Approving the annual budget

Want to make a difference for people with disabilities in Vermont?
We are looking for new volunteers on the board of directors to reflect the ethnic, racial, geographic, socioeconomic, and disability diversity of our state to strengthen our organization. Having a background in disability rights advocacy, law, or accounting is a plus. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Time Commitment:
- Term length: 3 years
- Regular board meetings are quarterly and are typically hybrid (Zoom or in-person option).
- Participation in strategic planning, fundraising, and/or committee work.
